Pardon my ignorance but what is "speedbox"
unbeatabull,
Feb 5, 7:15pm
They've stopped doing live streams now anyway. It was basically a live TV Broadcast but was streamed over the internet rather then over TV.
weymouthpainter,

there is another live stream available from the palmy speedway website if anyone doesnt know
treachug,

Yeah but not as good as the Speedbox coverage but certainly better than no coverage but nothing beats being there live!

speed box aint doing it this year, some American crowd is. the link is on palmerston speedway page.
panthers have 2 1/2 teams there this year. 2 drivers in Christchurch team, plus the manawatu team
didn't think the allstars were racing. they made a pathetic show against Great Britian on Saturday night. Only managed to get four cars out for the hotlaps. finished the race with one car, against 4 GB cars.

Speedbox was a company that filmed live events eg Speedway, Jet sprints, motorcycle racing & streamed them live over the internet. Cost a small fee like $20.00 per event to get coverage streamed into your home. Was great to watch some speedway championships on the big tv via the laptop at home. Due to small minority of negative feedback & rising costs of satellite booking cost they pulled the plug last year. Shame really as speedbox tried to fill the gap left by mainstream tv as mainstream tv does not recognise speedway as a sport attended by more people per week than rugby.

I though it was something down at Fire Cats!

Its not an American company doing it. It is the guys that do the big screen in palmy doing it. As for the comments on the allstars have you ever driven in a teams race or driven a superstock its not as easy as it looks

LOL yea got that right . she's a brutal beast. Power of a jet fighter with the weight of a large army tank & over worked boat anchor brakes.
Don't even need to pilot 1 to know that.

I have been to palmy a few years, and been going to Wiakaraka about 34 years and i know what a good team looks like, and Auckland arel crap.I have driven my brothers standard stock, but didn't think much of it, not enought power. As i say to my brother, real men race on tarseal.
splinter67,
Feb 7, 1:03pm
Try a superstock most have 300+hp and racing in a teams race is different than driving in a grand parade lets see how ya feel after being attacked by a 1500 kilo super stock let me tell ya it blimmen hurts
quickstitch,
Feb 7, 1:09pm
try 500+ hp. and i never said super stock racing wasn't hard. i just said Auckland suck. period. the results speak for themselves

And Splinter, if you are getting hurt, get someone else to build your seat and pads. I've been doing stockseats and padding for cars for twenty odd years. Just to name drop, cars like Chris Allens, Craig Pierce, Trevor Mason, Paul Vasey, the red waka. and many standard stocks.

Well I have arrived in Palmy it'sbeer o'clock, it's a brilliant day. And more important, 1 more sleep until all hell breaks loose.
splinter67,
Feb 9, 5:31am
Tell that to the drivers that got hurt last night. Teams racing is the hardest racing that there is. Btw your name dropping isnt that impressive none of those cars made it to the teams champs which is the pinnacle of the sport Oh and auckland didn't disgrace themselves they did alright
splinter67,
Feb 9, 6:01am
Last night you could see who Ashers dad was they drive the same a chip off the old block springs to mind
quickstitch,
Feb 9, 8:47am
Your showing your ignorance, Craig Peirce is ex NZ champ, Chris Allen was the caption of the auckland team many years ago, Trevor was a teams racer for many teams (he was here watching it with me last night), we were calling him a stockcar slut 'cos he been with that many teams. He always put on a good show at the teams. He took the flag once stuck up the wall,And i believe the red waka is the reserve car for palmy.
splinter67,
Feb 9, 9:05am
Hahaha wrong again Wanye is the sixth driver for the panthersand not one of the cars you mentioned are at the teams champs this year are any of them still racing supers
quickstitch,
Feb 9, 9:30am
And is the sixth car not a reserve ! Argumentive prick ! And only Vasey and Hemi are still racing. I will take a stab in the dark, you have small mans disease. Am i right !
splinter67,
Feb 9, 10:56am
Nah 6.4 and I hate tosspots who think they know it all and think they have too name drop to be cool .Now as you dont understand how it works the sixth driver uses the injured drivers car so its not a sixth car but a sixth driver is that clear enough for you maybe you should ask your mates to talk you through it make sure they talk slowly so you understand
quickstitch,
Feb 9, 11:17am
well i was told he took his car down. Could be wrong, have been before. you are the know it all f wit on here. Good to see Bill robertson shut you down in the other thread. lol. 6'4". oh. my mistake. big man with big mouth. And stop boosting about your amazing racing career, you seem quick to drop that into evry thread.
splinter67,
Feb 9, 11:24am
Now look here tosser your the one whos telling those of us in the know that 1st The auckland team is rubbish 2nd that they werent racing 3rd that Wanye was in the panthers as a spare car 4th that if you get a quikstich seat you wont get hurt all 4 points are wrong. Go back to ya sewing circle and gossip with the women let the men talk about teams racing
quickstitch,
Feb 9, 12:56pm
Go put $100 on Auckland to win if you think they are in the hunt. Auckland team is crap. period. i watched them race last weekend, dismal display. None of the top auckland drivers will team race, in fact, most of aucklands top drivers aren't even registered to auckland.Auckland wasn't advertised on the program on thursday when we checked out the draw. Only 11 teams were listed. Im not physic, sorry to dissapoint you. I was told that wayne took his car down and was on the panthers team as reserve. It seems i jumped to the wrong conclusion, big deal. And did i say my seats prevent injury, no. I just said get a better seat, one custom made to your body. I bet you bought a $10000 old shitter and just jumped in it. tell us about all the team racing throphies on your mantle piece big shot. you seem quick to throw it out there about your stockcar prowess.Did you retire a champ ! Move on to bigger and better things, are you gonna set the drag racing scene on fire too ! are you building a street drag car or a comp car ! serious queston, as im a keen drag racer myself.
