1.8 16 valve non-turbo. Will BNT have these parts or do I have to go thru the dealer! Any idea on price for parts! TIA.

try em all partsmaster etc. not shure if EML sell clutches they do other engine components.

You won't need to go through the main dealer BNT will have/get them but wouldn't be my first choice.

Yes. BNT, Partmaster, Supercheap/Repco, etc try them all
You may be surprised at genuine prices though. Have found a lot of VW stuff priced as well or better then Jap stuff like Toyota (cambelts etc especially)

In lil old Nelson it's BNT or REPCO. Repco was open til 5.30 so I rang them and they said no listing for the 16 valve model, and no stock available for the 20 valve model.

They didnt use the 1.8 16v in the mk3. It is a 2.0l engine code is abf. Is it actually a gti as the 16v engine uses a different gearbox and clutch to the 8v. Only fit a sachs brand clutch

Oh Perhaps I actually mean the 8v. Brain fart, sorry. Got one coming from BNT, around the $200 mark, fingers crossed it all goes fine. Thanks for your help folks.
