I'm using 21.7 litres per 100k

That's what the onboard computer tells me anyway.
At $2 per litre, that's a $1 every 2.3k
MMnn. still worth every penny!

neville48, Aug 17, 4:34pm
Blown Big Block ?

mardyyy, Aug 17, 4:34pm
Sounds like a you got Range Rover and drive slowly.

snoopy221, Aug 17, 5:27pm
Ha Ha-Well when you catch that truck and stop towing the pipe that fell from it

melonhead1, Aug 17, 5:54pm
TB48 Patrol?

grangies, Aug 17, 6:09pm
I doubt it.

As he did say "still worth every penny"

clark20, Aug 17, 6:13pm
Sounds like a supercharged V8 to me

tgray, Aug 17, 6:17pm
Not supercharged, but a 2014 Stingray.
I thought I was driving very conservatively until I checked the fuel economy stats.

clark20, Aug 17, 6:23pm
You still have the same one? Now the dollars gone its worth more.

tgray, Aug 17, 6:29pm
Sold two but still got the third and last one.
Yes, it would cost $20,000 more to import than a year ago. Happy to keep it.

grangies, Aug 17, 6:41pm
With tgray's actual "real life" fuel consumption figures.

It does make you wonder if brands like Audi R8 and Mercedes SLS are full of sh1t, with their claims of 13-14 litres per 100km.

clark20, Aug 17, 6:59pm
Mine claims 11.8, I got less on a trip, but around town in heavy traffic 17. The new turbos are OK, but yes they do use a lot

tgray, Aug 17, 7:55pm
The Stingray's manufacturer fuel economy figures are 28mpg for highway and 16mpg for city.
I am getting 13mpg and I thought I was driving very modestly, but in all fairness, I do not use the cylinder deactivation option and rarely drive on the motorway, so all things considered, it seems about right.

sr2, Aug 17, 8:45pm
Respect!

brapbrap8, Aug 17, 9:13pm
What is it in smiles per gallon though?

tub4, Aug 18, 4:54am
Shit I thought my big old F150 used petrol, I'm getting an average of 14 to the gallon but wouldn't have it any other way

tgray, Aug 18, 5:20am
The only reason I checked it, was a message that came up on the dash (I thought oh God, not a warning light!) that read 'for economy shift from 1 to 4'. I had a little chuckle to myself.
This fuel usage comes from driving sensibly around in 3rd gear in town and 4th on motorway (never use 5th, 6th or 7th) and the occasional, brief foot down acceleration. Geez, I wonder what I would get by driving aggressively?

#17 "Geez, I wonder what I would get by driving aggressively?"

An incentive to put an electric motor/ motors and lithium battery pack/s in it?

rob_rooster, Aug 18, 7:29am
Thats good but must try harder!
I was reading about a guy who was running a Lamborghini Aventador hard and he recorded 70 liters per 100kms lol!

mals69, Aug 18, 8:20am
That is why you can only afford a $10 watch

ema1, Aug 18, 9:14am
Has it got a half track set up on it t.g.?

tgray, Aug 18, 10:09am
Hah! Yes, I am proud to say I wear a $10 watch I bought from the Warehouse and it came with a 12 month warranty! (picked up a $9 pair of jeans at the same time) lol.

tgray, Aug 18, 10:11am
It has the Z51 performance package and the magnetic ride control suspension, so pretty much track ready.

richardmayes, Aug 18, 10:44am
Sounds lovely - I find driving around Auckland during the daytime bloody awful no matter what sort of vehicle is used.

elect70, Aug 18, 12:34pm
Geez hope its got a big fuel tank or you dont travel far between filling stations . I thought my range rover was thirsty . Dont you use the overdive gears ?
