I'm heading up to Auckland to pick up a car and intend to have an AA pre purchase inspection report done on the car. The car is in Otahuhu and I don't want to waste the guys time. Where is the nearest AA centre to Otahuhu (that does pre purchase inspection reports)? I looked online but not all the AA centres appear to do this.

I'd avoid the AA unless you want a vague report telling you there is a stain on the boot carpet.
We used Car Inspection Services for my Mother's Daihatsu Copen that we bought sight unseen. They will pick the car up and drop back to the seller after inspection.

The AA do onsite inspections mostly.-so go to where the car is. But in this case there is an AA centre in Onehunga that does PP inspections. Car inspection services are totally mobile. I would not be heading up to Auckland until I saw the result of the PP inspection

Agree with this, especially cars from Otahuhu area, there is a few mobile guys around and probably better than AA,
