Bit of a dim view of Euro reliability in that EURO website compared to Japanese there that I can see? Even Kia & Hyundai product mostly I said mostly trounces Euro's in that same website. but that no doubt will be refuted as well? All to funny. truth hurts eh?

Mmmm yep happens all to frequently, often contradictions pop up too, "paper bag" stuff , crisps anyone !
Fixing niggly problems is something I have never had to contend with in any of my cars. I steer well clear of anything that is suspect to such. it's paid off handsomely thus far. except for a BMW 525 I owned years ago, it was in getting stupid mostly electrical things fixed most times instead actually driving it any distance? I got to the point I just wouldn't go drive any distance in it. Best thing I ever did was drop it like a hot spud, never had issues like that since ! Big mistake buying it, I won't be caught like that again. full stop !
