your post #167 what is the fracking damage then, to the ground, or the water or what? i can see some possible damge to the ground, but no damage to the water. maybe it is the 'or what' that needs clearing up.

You can't 'force' people into buying something they can't afford. The ev market will have to get a lot cheaper or have a good range of cheap used imports before things will change in this country, and I can't see that happening en masse within the next 20 years. Any taxation on fossil fueled vehicles will disproportionally clobber the poor, there's no way our band of happy socialists in charge will gag that down. They will tax cars that use more gas, certainly- but that's as far as it will go.

Well then bill, go and dump a liter of used engine oil in your water tank and get back to us in a few weeks. And do some reading about how old the water is in most aquifers.
lets just distill all the water on the planet and solve your problem that way. you were talking about fracking which i understand is extracting crude oil. now you want me to put used engine oil in my water tank so i improved the water i only use synthetic oil so do not worry about your sludge
