evaporation does not waste water, it is part of the water cycle.

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 6:41am
testing will only tell you what is in the water. you can then decide what to do with it. your adding janola will solve the taste as you have found out, and also remove some of the bacteria which could be hamfull.

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 6:43am
you can also buy things called filters which will retain a lot of crap. you do not test every litre you find the source of any contamination and work from there.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 6:46am
So if the ground water gets contaminated. we should throw it out ?

mechnificent, Dec 31, 6:47am
And tell me about these filters. never heard of them before.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 6:47am
Actually Bill don't bother. I suspect it'll "bore" me.

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 7:04am
extract the lithium and sell it to tesla as mentioned earlier.

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 7:05am
drink it let you body do its job.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:06am
Ha. I'll sell my urine as refined water.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:09am
Double refined bourbon anybody ?

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 7:09am
sounds to me as if you have drilled a hole in the water tank you mentioned. wasted water, janola, effort and no need for filters either, wonder why you are here at all, you are out of your depth (trouble with the tank again)

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:12am
Just having fun Bill. no offense intended.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:15am
I was just taking the double refined water out of you.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:15am
I'll shut up now.

apollo11, Dec 31, 7:26am
As the article I posted a link to mentioned, they test for certain pollutants. If the fracking industry is using toxins that aren't tested for, then they don't get found, and someone gets to tick a form saying that everything is fine. Meanwhile, a lowly rate-payer is finding out that they can light the water from their taps. Real Erin Brockovich stuff.

apollo11, Dec 31, 7:27am
We know that's not possible.

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:28am
Mmmm

mechnificent, Dec 31, 7:29am
Ahhhh

alowishes, Dec 31, 8:04am
So that’s OK because lithium is recycled. without polluting anything ?

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 6:13pm
wonder why they use 'certain toxins' and not specific ones or are these 'toxins' being leached out of the rock by the process. oh i saw the film, good story.

bill-robinson, Dec 31, 6:16pm
you mean we can eat lithium and recharge ourselves? like glucose and other legal foodstuff.

apollo11, Dec 31, 7:17pm
This is an interesting vid if you have time:

a little bit of thinking would give you and answer as well. crude oil is toxic so it stands to reason than applying pressurised water to crude oil would lead to some contamination of the water. this water then moves into an aquifier and some one who is downstream taps into the aquifer you can work out what will happen. simple is it not.

apollo11, Dec 31, 9:08pm
I don't understand where you're going with this, bill. It's still damage due to fracking, regardless of whether it's the additives they put in the fracking slurry,or the wastewater which is the end result.
