Most threads drift!

Symptomatic of motorists beingscrewed every which way and we all have a limited amount of dollars, so it is up to us to target our spend, as if we cough up for unreasonable stuff, then there is less money in the system for genuine purchases.

Allowing parking wardens to roam the streets at nights revenue collecting is not on.Better they are on the dole,as overall it costs us less.No problem with daytime parking ensuring people stick to the rules.

Auckland City sucks.

Being from the South Island I was shocked to see Looters walking around ticketing cars late at night last time I was in Auckland.

aktow, Jan 23, 9:52pm
read the ticket. if it from wilsonor another parking company do not pay it.only the police, council parking wardens can give out tickets,, wilson has been giving out ticket for a long time but they are not legal. they send on the ticket to bay corp but tell them to bugger off. wilson has lost in small claims with giving out tickets

I think it is crap that they fine their customers. But see it from their point of view. They must get sick and tired of freeloaders that work around the CBD trying to park there all day for free so they don't have to pay for parking outside. If they had no parking times or deterrents in place, you would find in impossible to find a car park when you next went to do your shopping. Write to them and send them a copy of your dockets (which will have your purchase times) I am sure they will waive the fine.

wtf, so far from true its laughable

what an ahole, being born stupid and lazy isnt a recognised disability, you could try and get a disability parking permit for it tho lol

Do you roll over that easily!

Should test him with some puppy commands and see if he responds. Fining customers is appalling.

Update:I got a letter from Wilsons reminding me to pay the fine or write in if I wanted to dispute it.Otherwise it would go to debt collection if it wasn't paid.

I wrote in, detailing the stores I had visited and the amounts I had paid, and attached receipts from the purchases.About 5 days later, I received a letter in the post telling me they had waived the ticket.

Although relieved the ticket is no more, I still reckon it's a bloody con by Westfield/Wilsons and a bloody bad PR exercise.

If I'm in their mall spending money, there's no way they should be ticketing me if I'm parked in their carpark.

I've told everyone what arseholes they are for implementing such a scheme and I'll continue to do so.

We NEVER go into town to eat or anywhere where we have to pay for parking - ever.

The only parking fees we willingly pay are at the off site airport car parks or if meeting people, maybe at the airport, for as short a time as possible. I can think of better ways of spending my hard earned cash.[/quote]

Same. I haven't been to Queen Street for years after paying more for a park than I did for food.

johnf_456, Feb 4, 1:13pm
^ so true.

tigadee, Feb 4, 1:31pm
I totally agree. I used to manage a store in Westfield St Luke and Westfield were real bastards about little things.

tigadee, Feb 4, 1:34pm
Proof that you'd spent money in their premise must have been the deciding factor. If a complainant had no proof that they'd spent any more, they'd (Westfield & Wilson) not have let them off.

this subject was discussed on Hay and Fagan, Radio Live 7 - 10pm weekdays.

When I was a courier driver I delivered to Westfeild queens gate in Lowerhutt one of the mall security guys had a go at me because my vans nose was over the loading bay line, He threatened to clamp my van, I told him, go ahead by the time you get your clamp and come back ill be long gone lol

directorylist, Feb 7, 11:11pm
Its private property, as long as they have a sign up somewhere saying you will be fined they can do what they want. Its your choice to park there.

zephyrheaven, Feb 8, 4:55am
Totally correct, amazing the amount of people that quickly pay the fine instead of actually thinking - Wilson parking only exist because of lazy unthinking knuckledraggers!

silverhatchet, Oct 1, 4:55pm
Email them explaining saying you were 10 mins over because they allow some extra time. They ask for a reciept for something you buy and they will waive the fine. I know this because I was 10 over and was not pleased!

phillip.weston, Oct 1, 5:21pm
nice thread grave digging there.

rob_man, Oct 1, 5:30pm
Jesus, how do you find an old thread like that! Are people trolling through the archives!

ringo2, Oct 2, 10:40am
Where do you get Wilson Group out of that! It says Westfield group.

ringo2, Oct 2, 10:45am

Ah so Westfield contract out the parking problems to Wilsons. Makes sense in some ways.
