Try saying it."All Tech Automotive, James speaking" Has a nice ring to it. Or abbrev. "All Tech, James speaking". The Ninja might be on to something! All Tech Motor Specialists. All Motor Worx.
Maybe something that makes you sound top notch or talks your business up, sound important. Check and Tune. Fix Right First Time.FRFT for short, for on phone etc. Fix Right Automotive. Fix First Time. FFT for short.

fwiw, when I look through the yellow pages etc, I skim past the 'A's, simply because I actually care about my car, and im not going to take it to the first idiot who pops up.
Frankly, what appeals to me most os something like 'mark laughton auto and electrical', no bullshit, it says what stuff you do, and more importantly, by putting your name on the business is like saying 'i state my reputation on this', and thats what I want to hear when someone is ripping my engine apart. The KISS principle is best. who are you, and whaddya do. thats it. thats all you need

I can see his point. You have been going for a year already and have done very well in getting your name out there for the little amount of time you have been around - well done. Your next move has to be very well thought out as changing your name is huge. There are plenty of potential issues around business names; many of these have been mentioned above. Once you know what you want to do let me know if you want any help with some marketing material or advertising. Ps. When are you coming on a bike! :)

zeph/Bmxer another thought was a really suptle name change again say itsJoe Blogsgarage How about J BloGGs garage 2011 ltd Making the 2011 and ltd in much smaller case than the rest. Another thing to think of is --How is the tax department, bank.power, phone etc going work. Ie are youXYZ ltd (the registered company) trading as joe Blogs garage or are you Joe Blogs garage ltd ! If its the former then hey no worries but if the latter then there may be issues with accounts needing to be changed etc. I know I'm not saying this correctly so please forgive my bumbling dude.
