been asked to change a waterpump on a 1992 primera SR18, I Havent seen the car yet but have never attempted a waterpump on a front wheel drive either, Id imagine the lack of space would make it a mogrel of a job! or are they relatively easy to get at!

Well if you have never done a FWD car water pump before I dont know if doing a SR18 Primera one would be a great idea as they have very very limited space and are a little tricky but at least they dont involve removing a cambelt or anything to get to it.

Doing the waterpump is easy - getting at it is a time consuming and frustrating job.

Do one on a Cavalier first for practice and then you will find the Primera one easy.

Not too bad. Wheel off, engine mount off, drop engine. Might need crank pulley off too.
Pretty easy beasties to work on.
