not the same old same old data from one insurance co. this website allows you to export to a excel file. im no good at this stuff but for someone good with excel i would imagine it is very easy to compile a most stolen list from the last 6 months
It's actually very hard, just looked at it and for the car model there are 1090 unique values for about 3600 stolen vehicles. There are things like 5sp Accord the Accord 5sp. BUT without getting too caught up in inconsistencies and overthinking the forumulas here is the top cars
etc etc, I can host the file if you like but it was a pretty crude lookup. I just used a countif function after pulling out the unique labels for the cars
EDIT: This was done using the whole of New Zealand file. Theoretically I can do specific areas as well but that's a bit naff

if someone had the time and skills, they could make up a website that pulls info from that website with all different regions just 1 make or whatever with that data too.
jazz! your kind of thing!

It's not hard to setup to be automatic however the problem mostly lies in some of the mismashed wording, like there is one hit on "Pajero LWB" cause that's different to "Pajero", heaps of iterations of "laser" as well. However it isn't TOO bad. Certainly possible, could use some refinement on how I did it though. It's been a while since I've done advanced filtering and array formulas in excel.
