In the end although it was a hard fought race between the Swift LTD and the Kia PIcanto EX - the Picanto won out!
Thanks to all those who offered their experiences and opinions.
In the end the deciding factors were:
Price Features Economy Style
And the most important what my wife liked!

Colour is lemon grass which is a bright green colour - not everyones cup of tea but it is bright and funky!
Have been driving it around this weekend and car still impresses with how quiet it is and how well it handles the road!Room is good for such a small car and economy is also fantastic.
Ipod connectivity works well and bluetooth is flawless.
