ayjay1, Feb 3, 4:35am
on the wife's Commodore and the was a lot of cream goo in the fitting. It had the consistency of margarine. It is prob the first time the bulb has been replaced since new.Does anyone know what that is all about! and should I clean it all out!

A what bulb- was it broken!

fiatracer, Feb 3, 5:04am
yes, he said it is a 'break' light

ayjay1, Feb 3, 5:14am
Haha. Yeah it was broken. The filament was broken if we want to split hairs. Come on guys it is early in the morning.

therafter1, Feb 3, 5:17am
No you shouldn't. Holden didn't put it in there for you to clean out, it is a combination of additional moisture proofing and anti corrosive !

ayjay1, Feb 3, 5:27am
Thanksfor that

socram, Feb 3, 9:57am
Could probably do it in his tea brake.

lugee, Feb 3, 10:49am
Made my day.

quickstitch, Feb 3, 1:32pm
those jobs are best done before the bulb get hot, do it before brakefast

toominator_phil, Feb 3, 2:02pm
Don't ride your breaks and it'll be fine

toominator_phil, Feb 3, 2:21pm
Let's put a stop to this nonsense!

(sorry op!)

socram, Feb 3, 3:28pm
Glad it is just a minor issue so I suppose he can do it at ohm.It would be the pits if it wasn't such a miner issue.

Oh, and according to an old school sparkie I once worked with, it is a lamp.A bulb according to him belonged in a plant pot.

icemans1, Feb 3, 3:37pm
what's for brakefast!

pollymay, Feb 3, 3:47pm
Brake it up guys, no need to brake his back over his breaks.

im_andrew, Mar 5, 2:07pm
Yeah show lighting techs are the same. A bulb is something you plant in your garden.

That white stuff is normal on commodores, I believe because VNs had a bad issue with corrosion on the rear light harnesses.
