The 2nd one. It's 'vtech' The additional 'h' makes it faster than any vtec.

Why limit yourself to Japanese! For that kind of money you could get a really decent VW that will run rings around them both for power and economy. Plus parts are cheap and easily available. given your purpose I would have thought something like this would be ideal.

I always found Rice offensive. imagine engineering an industry where "white" rice is the popular option and "brown" rice is the minority.
I wont even get into the abuse of brown rice should it be unlucky enough to be "parboiled".
Luckily after thousands of years of cultivation this fad must clearly nearly have run its course.
