As a buyer of a car.

on Trade me. do we have a certain amount of time after purchasing the car to say 'actually the car is not as described' and get our money back!

gammelvind, Dec 31, 6:47pm
Not if it is an auction

You may have some recourse if you have been mislead about the car.You need to take it up with the seller though, not trademe.

If you can prove you were intentionally misled, yes. The onus is on you to prove that however. Then you have to actually get the money back from the seller.

You can only back out of the deal on the day when you inspected it, before agreeing to pay for it. If you were happy with the car then, and did the deal, then the car remains yours.

no you can't if it is an auction vehicle.
