Hi, has anyone bought a campervan in europe, or the UK to holiday in and then shipped it back here! is it worth it! thanks

well we have had one 10 year ago my mate got one from switzerland. First up its not worth it. secound problem is they dont fit in containers. well his did fit after the smart people in india used a bulldozer to squash it in the container. Now lets say you got it here undamaged. Maf is going to spray the crap out of it and huge fees for inspection and cleaning bill if they even find 1 grass seed anywhere inside the vehicle. Next thing is if it is not passing emission standards or frontal impact standars then it cant ever be used on the roads here. My mates was here for 3 year on a carne the passage with foreign plates then he parked it under a tree and there is now no much left of it. Also you want to check if the high import tarrifs still apply for campervans. that be another huge cost you would have to face once all other things go thru.
