We are looking at getting one, have been advised to get a campervan, as these are generally wider & roomier than a bus if you are only looking at getting something you can drive on a car license. Have also been told campervans hold their value more than a bus. Anybody owned both! would be interested to hear some opinions, thanks.

here are a fue usefull hints. camper over 3.5 ton have a hubometer for road user charge and are charged at a even higher road user tax. If you can make your own camper then you could make one your self from a huge mother van that is rated 3.5 ton. Like i just purchsed a long wheel base mercedes already converted as camper as i am no good with fiddley woodwork. vans to considere is mercedes Sprinter high roof long wheel base or Volkswagen LT. also some iveco turbodaly

be really carefull of rust in the chassie of buses, especially jap imports, i have seen some real disasters,
