Buying a car

I am looking at purchasing a car, two years old, one owner, 24,000km, in the north island and I in the south, do I need to get an AA check!, what would you suggest, have been told"what could be wrong with a car only two years old",owners going overseas, so a valid reason for selling, not able to get up there myself, not thatI would know any thing!thanks for you help

You ring the dealership/service agents for the car and ask them to do a pre purchase inspection. Then you pay for the car. Then you organise freight (Jeffs Transport or similar). Then you register in your name at the post shop or VTNZ. Then you insure the vehicle. Then you pick up and enjoy your new motor. Easy peasy.

Oh yeah and buy a full carjam report.

its most likely going to be still under warranty anyway, do a full carjam check to make sure nothing dodgy like re-registration has occured after being in a crash etc.Do what #3 suggested.
