unideck, Feb 24, 4:23am
Good on ya Fish, had a good chat to James's boss today (wife haha) and sounds like they are coping OK. Been a long day for everybody it seems. Heads up to ya MT, good man ;)

male_timaru, Feb 24, 4:27am
was just happy to be there when Zeph needed some mates to help him get through it all - it'll be a struggle still to get wiped down and cleaned properly but it is far better - videos on youtube coming very shortly of clean up and improvements!

It was like James said on here a while back - HE is the business - the business is in a building and that building needs repairs and some sorting out but HE is the business not the other way round

Anyone that calls MT a prick from now on, obviously doesn't know how to spell Brick.
"Good on ya mate"

cowboy110, Feb 25, 12:19am
Onya MT.(and all of you guys in Christchurch/Canterbury who are helping out your neighbours, friends and total strangers).Sitting here in the North Island watching what's going on down there makes us feel quite useless.Stay strong and take care.

alimac1, Feb 25, 12:28am
We now have 5 of us in the old house that normally only has 2. A bit of a squeeze but we'll get there.

zephyrheaven, Feb 25, 12:34am

Wolf Containers out Harewood have a heap you can rent. We used to rent a refrigerated one around Christmas-New Year at my old shop to store the last of the apples before the gap where the CA stock ran out, and the new season started.

Where do you want your business located James! There are a few new business park type places opening on the outskirts.

robbo36, Feb 27, 5:57am
+10 for MT, you're a bloody trooper."good on ya mate"!
James, offer for you.if you are interested.
I understand you have got your hands full at the mo' looking after your business and family, but if you feel like you need a break come April. Make the trip up to Hamiltron for the ITM 400 V8's. Bring your family and you can stay with my family for the weekend. ZZ Top on Saturday night & Good Charlotte on Sunday night.
Let's just say we were in the 1987 Edgecumbe earthquake and still remember exactly what everyone went through and that one had no loss of life.
I can assure you, we have lived in Hamilton for 10 years now and have never felt a shake, so you can rest easy here.
Anyway, the door is open should you require it. I'll leave you to it. Hope you get back to business soon. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

work for myself from home currently - looking at commercial premises now to run a full-time studio from (on hold obviously with current events, but bro is going to invest in me when things settle)

Am doing a Diploma in Business and Marketing Level 6 this year (needed a top up on my 1992-1996 quals from UK lol - as the marketing side is a bit OUTDATED to say the least and my accounting skills need a rev up too)

male_timaru, Feb 27, 6:14am
I reckon he would be absolutely SORTED in Wigram if he could bear going there and back daily from where he lives now - some AWESOME places cheap as hell there too!

sw20, Feb 27, 3:22pm
There are a couple of commercial properties on here for lease. There is a workshop out Harewood way, a few in Middleton and some in Rolleston, that is more than likely way too far out :)

unideck, Feb 27, 4:50pm
Hey Al, I think James needs to be close to where his old shop is given his client base is established about Talford St. My vote would be to have him shift up here so he can show me how to drink that God awful southern beer haha. I did try it before we left Chch but hey, just didn't go down well. Where ever he moves to I am sure he will be OK given hes a trustworthy mechanic, people like that :)
