1.25" 1" or 7/8 slightly curved type bars are best, stainless rolled curved, not bent.
And the question everyone asked was "how ever do you ride with those handlebars"

I guess that OP wasn't wanting clip-ons!Love my Katana, bars are mounted below top triple clamp, and slope downwards.You wrap yourself around the tank and away you go!
