looking for parts for an old sickle bar mower, this one to be exact http://tinyurl.com/3gdwyl8 a mccormick new big 4, or alternately a massey harris #8. if anyone knows of any rotting away under trees that may have salvagable parts let me know would be much appreciated

Yeah, and like most farmers, as soon as you show interest , it;s worth GOLD. 'Motoring' is still the best place to ask for my money. motoring dudes travel further than the farm gate, if you get my drift.

yep both the ones I'm looking for bits for are originally horse drawn self drivers, havent got a year on the massey harris but the mccormick is turn of last century. both have been modified for tractors, but the only horse I will have on my place is a massey harris pony, so that will have to do edit, will still be self driven, just the hitch has been modified to be towed by tractor instead of horse
