I have 98 subaru gt and the big end bearings are gone, I was told it would be cheaper to just buy a new motor, so i have been offered a 01 subaru gt blitzen motor but it is a tiptronic, will this motor fit into my car! Should I take the offer or will this cost too much or simply can not be done! Please help.

Cant you just use the manual trans with the newer engine! They are both EJ20s right!

Have you had any quotes on getting your engine repaired! Quite often better the devil you know;) After all, the replacement engine is still 10 years old.

sould be straight swap except for swaping flywheel/flexplate and spigot in the back of crank
