On take off in first gear I am getting chattering not sure if it gearbox or clutch!, have aslo heard at times what sounds like screatching, slipping noise when starting off from stand still,,,,, any ideas, thanks Sam

The Diffs can sometimes Chatter if incorrect fluid is put in . slipping/screatching sound I would say would be more clutch then gearbox. Manuals tend to crunch or whine when they start to go

quick and easy test to c if u clutch is going put it in top gear raise the revs and make sure e brake is off, if you pull away your clutch is going, whining if first probably means time for oil change in box.
