Good excuse to get out of the house on weekend" have to take the car for a long run dear "-past the pub

my car always seems to run a bit smoother after a good long run.
my car has noisy tappets (or whatever they are) but they go away for a few tanks after a long run.

My car doesnt run. Its too fat to run these days. You ask it to go for a run and it sits in front of the couch saying yea i'll do it tomorrow and never does. Eats me out of house and home and sits round doing nothing.
Tips!

No one has answered the question yet, My Turn!
I like dat -so- I'll use it
If! you think long runs and having an engine DESIGNED to work correctly at operating temperature is a myth.
Simply start move 3 feet and stop-do this a few times and then post here-my car won't start-why!-LOL

Also the long run gives a chance for the AC to get the interior dried out, I often see cars parked up that are all fogged up, hate to think how much mold etc is growing in them etc.

Thats if the car has ac and if its parked outside, for a car used outside I find damprid helps or a dehumidifier. Or you could just open the windows on a fine day and air it out.
