Occasionally idles real low when engine is cold, and will sometimes die if you put it into drive straight after starting it up! once its warm it fine,

I would be looking for a vacuum leak and also removing the throttle body and giving it a good clean out.

SR18 or 20DE!Idle control valves sieze and die on those things, they are under the intake manifold on the drivers side, usually they get stuck shut and you don't get a fast idle when cold.

Yep sr20, Heard it was something along those lines, ill try cleaning it or see what i can do ,Cheers now i know where it is
