Does anyone locally in Hastings/Napier area know how to wire up a motor for this motorbike, My son is making a go kart for year 12 credits at Napier Boys High School and is having trouble wiring up the motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have got the wiring loom from the bike that he took the motor from but he cannot remmber where they go now he is trying to wire up the motor on the go kart. He just wants the main wiring to get motor going he does not want the indicators, lights etc. we have got all of the above

The five wires that come out of the motor are yellow. pink. blue and yellow. green and red and black.The green wire goes to the CDI unit the blue and yellow wire goes to the CDI unit. And the yellow and pink wires are for the charging side. Not to to sure where the red and black is suppose to go, i am thinking power but not sure.
On the the black CDI box there are six wires. The blue and yellow wire is connected to the blue and yellow plug on the motor,the green one goes to the motor, the black and yellow one goes to the coil, there is also a green wire which we are not sure where it goes to.
There isa black and white wire from the CDI box which we think is power. and there is an orange wire where we have no idea where it goes.
Any help appreciated
