Hopefully someone can help me.for some unknown reason our car is not turning off. Husband said that when he turns the key, it sounds like it's trying to start again (even though it's already on).obviously some sort of alternator issue.but till we can get it down to the mechanics in the morning, how do we turn it off! It's an automatic Toyota Estima. Thanks.

Ok, we've stopped it at least. I had some of the details wrong. The keys were out.and it was still running! Or at least trying to start, over and over again. They have now disconnected the battery terminal. He said when he connected it again (just to check).the car would try and start again, with no key in the ignition. Thanks for your help:)

Ignition fault. Auto sparky is best bet.

for some reason estimas have a bad habit of solenoid contacts in the starter welding themselves together. Auto sparky job.
