go buy an NZ new BMW 530, silver with black leather, on nice alloys, and feel great that you made the best possible choice.

fiatracer, Mar 18, 9:29pm
although as an ex- 7 series owner, the E38s offer a LOT for moderate money.

Hi there,
you must be mad the primera range from nissan was probally the best 90s cars out there.bmws etc cost so much to keep on the road.you sould be able to buy a 120km 2006 maxima for this price now.i know i sell them and many other brands.if you just want a primera replacement (everyone will put there hands up in horror) buy a 2006 mondeo just check the coolant bottle is not leaking or buy a new coolant bottle with it .it uses mazda designed motor and gearbox but you get eight airbags abs etc.

I got a quote from giltrap for $850. Not too bad.

For myself, I'd choose a 7 series over the 5. I always liked the 5's but find them a little cramped (yes, I'm a fairly big unit).

craig04, Mar 19, 1:29am
I think we all heard "are there any others we take a peek at!" I took it to mean they were looking for other suggestions. Am I wrong!

Pffff no labour cost at all to change a Multipla cambelt, the kit comes complete with semi naked dancing girls who do the job for you. you don't even have to take the miniature horses out of the back.

ryanm2, Mar 19, 2:21pm
I have spotted a cheap reserve Commodore VY series 2. Will keep an eye on that too.

Do the brevis have the D4 petrol engine! How are they for reliabilty- i know they havent been in the country too long.
Look like a good car for the money - apart from daewoo ish looks.

ryanm2, Mar 19, 9:11pm
Its a shame those Brevis are so terribly ugly, look like a lot of car for the money.

spead, Mar 19, 9:14pm
why change! We change once every 10-12 years.

vtecintegra, Mar 19, 9:23pm
Its pull back to change up right! My Nissan is the opposite way round and I think the Ford way would make more sense.

richardmayes, Mar 19, 9:46pm
Yes, Falcon is push forward to change down and pull back to change up.
I don't like it, the opposite (like your Skyline, the Aurion at work, and the Euro Accord at my previous job, etc) feels more natural to me. Higher gears at the front, lower gears at the back, the same as a conventional automatic selector.

craig04, Mar 19, 11:48pm
Must admit, I was surprised too (happily).

craig04, Mar 19, 11:51pm
Most Multipla's would never need a cambelt change anyway. Once the novelty of being "different" has worn off (usually 600km's after buying the thing), the shame takes over and the car never sees the light of day again making the whole cambelt thing irrelevant.

3.5 Maxima 6 speed auto model.cvt.the lemon guide knocks the trans.buttheygo well.nice all round family car.blow a 6 commie and falcon to the weeds.yet comfortable quite cruiser.

How about.keeping what you've already got.

fiatracer, Aug 6, 7:12pm
good grief, REALLY! I've driven a couple and would rank them below quite a few other Japanese cars let alone Euro stuff.
