driving the car today then turned a corner and the car felt like it was in neutral and i could rev it but it was in drive and the car doesnt move, does the same in reverse. Anyone know what it might be!

What sort of car, check the dipstick! And let us know if the fluid smells burnt.

may not even be the trans that has quit what car would help front wheel drive could be as simple as an axle moved out of mesh, or a cv dumped all it's bearings

could also be a blocked filter, although with my experience drive returns temporarily once the trans cools down.

auto trans specialist said it might be a torque converter $1500 he quoted without seeing it grrrr bloody cars!

yup i was just gona sugest worn splines on the torque convert. Common on mitsi.

Make sure the inhibitor switch is checked for correct operation before spending big bucks.
