can be yes, but in your case you would be spending alot of money (probably more than car is worth) to make your car worth less than it was originally at the end of it all (manuals in that model are much more sought after). You are better off getting the clutch done as cheap as possible and selling it and using the money to buy an auto model

You wouldn't bother attempting to do it, far easier to get one that is already auto. Manuals are worth more and the changeover price would be minimal if anything. Doing a clutch isn't too bad on one of those anyway, find someone who's done one before, most subaru specialists can get the motors out in a flash, they have to do it often enough lol.

True, but HX20 is not boy racer material now is it. On sell it and buy something else, it'll keep costing you money in my experience
