Kiwi Car Carriers / Hoegh Autoliners service from japan to new zealand will come to an end on the 20th May 2012. sign of the times I guess, not enough cars coming to NZ anymore, They stopped the Australia run a while ago, never thought they would pull out of NZ altogether though, I always assumed they would just decrease the amount of voyages. There will be plenty that will need another shipping company now I guess. Always liked the service from KCC. Sad to see them going.

Same here - very sad to have heard that today.I've always found them to be very good indeed and it's going to be a big loss, and will presumably create the odd extra longer wait for space on some of the other boats.I was quite surprised too at the total withdrawal as opposed to just reducing the amount of voyages per year.

I think theres a bit more to it.Ie restructuring of the entire company.
