Yeah but not as quick as a V8 which was in question
I couldn't give a toss what you faggots drive , but if you going to argue the toss that displacement does not matter i'M NOT GOING TO SIT BACK AND WATCH YA TALK YA USUAL CRAP .

All depends how you define quick. If I pick the course, my 1380cc will tear any V8 you show up in a new one. Does that make the beaten V8 less of a car! Of course not. Horses for courses.

Two words "Spec savers" read the thread and comprehend what the words "in context" means .

Y'what! In a thread about reliability, you're waffling on about performance, and telling me I'm off topic! Riiight.
mals69,
Apr 17, 11:01am
Performing and reliability one of the same - not performing not reliable is it .
Light V8's like TVR ilk kick your 1380 in to touch - like how ya add the other 80 cc in - does it matter . still a chicks car come boat anchor . bigger motorbikes .
smac,
Apr 17, 11:06am
blah blah blah.got a TVR!
The point you're missing is there is a reason for EVERY kind of vehicle out there. Budget and space are a reality for every one. If all you can do is knock what everyone else has, rather than contributing something, I'm switching off.

That's what makes this forum fun to read.
mals69,

Switching off cause you realise how much of a fool you have been . budget . use ya brain and make some more money . that way at the lights you won't have to look over and see your same model kitted out in hairdresser graphics .

Not that i really want to get into it or care but you do realise the top fuel V8s run to 1000ft not 1320ft, they are also permitted to run wider tyres and use nitro as a fuel, where as the the other clases cant. So your not comparing apples with apples, but hey dont let the truth get in the way of a good story
bellky,
Apr 17, 11:12am
Not only that but CBR Rx-2 did the 6secs in NZ.

Not that i really want to get into it or care but you do realise
Old royal But time . cause you care or less you would not have posted . your user name a great platform for an unbiased opinion , rotary boys bit slow to create their own class and invite the V8 boys , more like they know it would end in their tears - go back to skool and learn the laws of physics . to aid your wankle brain into understanding you have chosen a Bose speaker over a JBL cabinet speaker - the performance will never be as good cause you are going against the laws of physics
mals69,
Apr 17, 11:22am
6 secs its not 1990
savanna71,
Apr 17, 11:27am
My username has nothing to do with it, i own Mitsi's
And of course you cant beat the laws of physics no car will ever cover1320 ft in the same time or faster then it could cover 1000ft. Pretty simple

Apr 17, 11:29am
Genuine enquiry (im not saying it doesnt exist as i have no idea) But can you point me to a 6 second V8 running on meth etc (not Nitro) using a mass produced OEM block with factory displacement!
foxdonut,
Apr 17, 11:29am
1380cc what! Twin Turbo V6 like a Formula One engine!
No to split hairs, but capacity and number of cylinders aren't compatible, which is kind of where this thread is headed (as usual).
mals69,
Apr 17, 11:32am
Diamonds are definitely not forever , be easier saving up for a V8 than bitching about them , got nothing to do with feet, its just never going to happen, higher reving V8's will just keeping getting developed, rotar boys will keep thinking they are getting close but the smarter V8 Boys will just keep shifting the goal posts .
savanna71,
Apr 17, 11:35am
So no facts or anything tangible just better cause you say so. Ok im out, no point debating with children. Have fun
mals69,
Apr 17, 11:36am
Crikey you posting lot for a non carer
I'm not a drag car spotter , sure someone else be able to give you the heads up of the existence . use google . not going to be hard to achieve when you can get sub 10 sec V8 cars running on pump gas and on street tyres
mals69,
Apr 17, 11:48am
You have missed the whole point dipshit, ya dont have to produce facts if you know physics, one last time - think the bigger the explosion the more power - what container has the best potential for the biggest explosion a create whopping V8 or a tiny wankle motor that could be mistaken for the V8'S starter motor, the wankles produce the power by being revved, like said they will just keep developing V8'S that rev even higher like they have done already to date, higher revs with the biggest container for the explosion the winning formula - physics dictates ! You know I'm speaking the gospel hence why you asked about the 6 second V8
bellky,
Apr 17, 11:54am
Horses for courses. V8s for the outright win, so what.
Fact is, for me when driving a rotary, the sound and feel of it hits me right in the core, and I love it.
mals69,
Apr 17, 11:56am
You more into an insect than a horse, rotar over a V8 sound - should have gone to hearing savers

mals69.where you BEEN all my life, you're hilarious! I was wrong to say I'm switching off, keep it up! Who needs Scotty when you got this chump.
A series.BMC's finest ;)
I guess what I was getting at is this X versus Y thing always wanders off into drag performance and multi 100k machines. I'm talking reality. In the real world, you have what you have, and you love it. Somebody else slagging it is just childish.

Man you talk rubbish. There is plenty of 4cyl rice burners that would urinate all over v8's. and there are plenty of v8's that would do the same to the 4cyl. cubic inches are a small part of the power equation. My daily driver is a 4.0l fairmont and I bet theres plenty of jappas with an engine half the size that would be faster
bellky,
Apr 17, 12:04pm
Not just the sound but the feel too.
(I also have V8)
mals69,

A 2 ton fairmont - break out the bloody party bangers for comparisons of all comparisons - you are a dick
