The thing is i brought my last car (hillman hunter) for 150 bucks welded up all the rust in it and built 3 motors for it, now who would bother to do that with something like a 1990s honda accord.

My accord (it's a 88, close enough) is on its 3rd motor, 2nd lot of body panels & interior after the previous owner(s) neglected it.

yea & most of the BMC junk you mentioned came with a compulsory oil drip so you could not park it on your mates immaculate concrete drive without a "diaper" under the sump LOL

Lol now I don't know many that would bother for a Hunter as well, I am sure though in ten to twenty years time there with be the equivalent of you doing and saying just the same with the old Honda.
