if your car fails a wof and its from vtnz can you go to a different place and see if the results are diiferent !

bikernutrr, May 29, 9:05am
Its on computer.

smac, May 29, 9:09am
Yes you can, but you pay again.

melly16, May 29, 9:12am
yea but the results from the first wof will be on the computer right! so there wudnt be much point!

mugenb20b, May 29, 9:13am
Exactly.

johnf_456, May 29, 9:15am
You are more than welcome to get a second opinion if you feel the first guy is pedantic. The difference is you just pay for another inspection, especially if its a fail for something that is costly and doesn't need fixing.

smac, May 29, 9:17am
Well, by your very question you've suggested there is a point. You obviously doubt the reason for the fail, so I'd say you have two options:
1. Go talk to the manager at the place concerned (best)
2. Go somewhere else, pay again ,and take the risk they are swayed by the previous fail.

melly16, May 29, 9:19am
ok thanks for your advice, they were just over pedantic i think and also had passed the car 6 months before and then this time said the cars to low.

johnf_456, May 29, 9:20am
How high is the car, have you measured it!

a18a, May 29, 9:23am
you can go to another vtnz within 28 days and get a free recheck

bikernutrr, May 29, 9:23am
maybe can't get the ruler underneath!

doug207, May 29, 9:25am
Maybe it is too low
Springs can sag.

melly16, May 29, 9:26am
less than 100mls they didnt say exactly, im a female and dont know whats going on lol but they say it could of dropped thats why its to low this time.

bikernutrr, May 29, 9:27am
Too low.

carmedic, May 29, 9:27am
When you told them that they said!

melly16, May 29, 9:29am
yea they said its to low now and said i need to get a cert but stuff paying heaps for one of those

bikernutrr, May 29, 9:31am
Best to take it to some suspension specialists, get them to take a look.

a18a, May 29, 9:31am
put some bigger wheels/tyres on your car. that's what one wof guy told me to do when my car failed on being just a little bit too low

bikernutrr, May 29, 9:35am
If there is a suspension issue putting bigger wheels on won't solve the problem.

gtf, May 29, 9:36am
Or did he mean "standard wheels with higher profile tyres"!

melly16, May 29, 9:38am
thanks :) im sure ill figure it out somehow cars cost to much muni lol

mugenb20b, May 29, 9:38am
OK, do you know "who" lowered your car in the last 6 months!

mugenb20b, May 29, 9:39am
money.

melly16, May 29, 9:39am
no one lowerd it at all thats why i though it was odd being failed

motorboy2011, May 29, 10:02am
very few places check the computer 1st, so if they fill out the paperwork and it passes they cant un-pass it when they check on the computer.
