1991 nissan maxima . the engine turns over but the moment i stop turning the key the car starts for a brief second shakes and then a little steam will come from under the bonnet any help would be appriciated thanks.

Open and prop up bonnet, get someone to try to start car, while you look in engine bay.Report back what you see and hear.

lol at prop up the bonnet if you do not it will fall on ya head I have had many a maxima bonnet fall on my head.

local mechanic is a nob i offered him lunch to come and have a look at it he said he will try and after 2 calls he still hasnt turned upand i cant get car to him

thanks jimma but i got frustrated today and call the wreckers to come and pick it up , iv been to your second hand shop got a washer off you last year be awsome if you had a really cheap vehicle for sale but thanks anyway
