just got a fuel injected 5L v8 falcon and it wont idle when cold, what causes this problem! any help would be great

The IAC valve might need a cleanout. It's bolted to the side of the throttle body and they get gummed up with carbon. Take it off and give it a good spray out with brake cleaner. Also, what is your idle rpm usually! Should be about 800-900 rpm if an automatic.

yeah idle is around 8-900ish, idles very ruff and then stops completely, will clean the IAC valve tomorrow and see if that helps, cheers
