Temperature gauge does not work in hubbys car, Hyundai Lantra. We don't need it fixed for a warrant, but if it is not to expensive thought we would get it done with next service.Any ideas!

It's most likely a faulty temperature sender unit. If so, they are cheap and easy to fix.

Could bejust a wire off or loose connection pretty basic to diagnose parts are not usually expensive it pays to have a working one could save you from a expensive repair bill when ya engine melts.

Are you sure it is a crook temperature gauge and not a thermostat that is stuck open! Does the heater still put out plenty of heat or is it not as good as it used to be! Is there actually enough water in the cooling system, the gauge sender unit in the engine needs water around it to operate. Temperature gauges seldom give grief in the modern motor car.
