I was going to say a Performer air gap would have been a better choice, but since it cost you nothing thats cool.I would port match it why you have the manifold off.

If you are a cheap bas#ard like me,do it like this http://www.youtube.com/watch!v=YEXDMcbVoJA

No , having a dizzy anywhere is wrong! LOL But I do have 8 coils

jason18, Jun 9, 7:14pm
Yeah was looking at getting the air gap from the u.s but was offered a swap so was stoked. Will go for an air gap if I ever upgrade again but this should do the job.

jason18, Jun 9, 7:15pm
hahah

jason18, Jun 9, 7:36pm
Where do you get edelbrock intake gaskets!

cuda.340, Jun 9, 7:48pm
any intake gasket works. STA are ford guys, they'll have what you want.

patiki1, Jun 9, 7:58pm
Maybe try Xtreme Race Performance Motorsport Shop, even repco should stock one.

Cheers Guys!

What is an Edelbrock Performer manifold - single or dual plane!

It's previously been established that a dual plane is more suitable for street, as a single plane is for high revs, and will bog down trying to supply low-down torque.

jason18, Jun 11, 1:57pm
Its a Dual Plane I did have a torker II that was a single plane that was horrible.SO have swapped the torker II for the performer

Very, very nice.

quickstitch, Jun 11, 4:57pm
poorly built motor, look the dizzy fell over

cuda.340, Jun 12, 2:03pm
me n my broken dizzy would line you up any day quickstitch. bring it on. :)

jason18, Jun 12, 2:40pm
Hey guys, The ports have been ground out so much the gasket wont cover it enough in a couple of places at the top! Bigger gasket im guessing and some gasket sealer!

jason18, Jun 12, 2:42pm
There is no pressure as such that runs through that area to blow it out!

jason18, Jun 12, 2:48pm
But then even if gasket fits over what will manifold sit on as it wont be solid in that area.

jason18, Jun 12, 2:52pm
Is the 4v head a bigger inlet hole than a 2v!

cuda.340, Jun 12, 2:53pm
some gaskets aren't as big as others. generally felpro gaskets have a larger size port. these are what most use for gasket matching.

cuda.340, Jun 12, 2:54pm
yes 4 v is bigger

quickstitch, Jun 12, 2:55pm
have jason, just had another look at your heads. you have the big port 4V heads. i think you have 2V gaskets. Is your new manifold a 2V or 4V !

jason18, Jun 12, 2:58pm
For a bloody 2v bugger it!

jason18, Jun 12, 2:58pm
Yeah the difference is huge! I see there is an edelbrock 4b one on trademe I think

cuda.340, Jun 12, 3:07pm
should have kept your mopar jason

jason18, Jun 12, 3:09pm
hahah is it a bad thing or shall I just get that manifold! Will that suit the old girl!
