how did they get through the security gates to the apartments!

The gates to Amon/McLaren are often open as until the gatehouse is built, people need to be able to get to the office.Still seems odd though.
Maybe the proximity to the prison and their passing visitors has something to do with it!It has a been a bone of contention with several apartment owners and there have been problems with the gates, as people (residents!) have been known to interfere with them. Sad, as at most motorsport events, unattended stuff rarely goes missing.
