I sold a vehicle a month ago and I just received the notice saying its rego is due. I did the online part of the change and the buyer is required to do the other part. Obviously he has not. Is it my responsability still or am I covered because I did my part already!

Thats balls then. Whats the point of making the new guy pay lol I may as well have done it myself and put an extra tenner on the price. His eyes were too close together to trust anyway!

I always pay it myself so I know its done. Its only $10 and compared with the price you got for the car is nothing.

ring nzta, i sold a car and was in the same boat as you, rang them and they took my name off as the registered owner, lesson learnt though, next car i sold i insisted on him getting it done and bringing me the proof before i would let him take it away
