Thinking of getting the GM man a nice big Ford flag for out front of his place but that might go down like a cup of cold sick.
I know a car part he needs but am not on to it enough to make sure I get the right one or to even ask all the right questions to make sure it is the right one.
Any ideas out there. I have 5 weeks to sort it.

Get him an exhaust tip in the shape of a love heart, he will be the proudest driver on the road ;)
On a more serious tone perhaps purchase him some tickets to a major motor-sport event that he can go with the boys to. It is off-season currently so Im not sure what the options are. Even make him a voucher redeemable for any motor-sport event so he can decide what to go to.

lol @ first idea
He is only really into drag racing which we go to anyway.

Could you pull some strings and score him a ride in a dragster of some type!

That I possibly could do. He has dragged his own cars but the speed freak would still go for that I think. Will put that at the top of the list.

Let him get the part himself. Tracking down obscure parts is half the fun, don't deprive him of that. If you get the wrong part it'll go down like a lead balloon. Some sort of motorsport experience like suggested before would be ideal.
