Replacing a clutch in a 1986 dihastu charade?

Not too hard, I have done it on a simarlar car, had to unbolt the front hubs,pull out the axles fron the diff and then unbolt and drop out the gearbox, about a days work for me (relatively inexperienced)

If your partner has never done a clutch before, then I don't recommend him doing it. It's a bit more technical than oil changes. Well.the only "tricky" bit will be aligning the clutch plate. Otherwise, it's a straight forward but time consuming job.

I did one last week (1989 so same shape etc) Clutch kit $160+gst (trade) just under 3 hours labour start to finish including replacing a CV boot.
If you were going to pick a fwd clutch to learn on I cant think of a better one. (except maybe the Holden ones with a tin cover on the bottom of the bell housing.)
