One more thing - what is the difference between the RE4R01A RB39 off a RB20E Cefiro and a RE4R01A RB40 off a RB20E Skyline! (RB39 v RB40)

i think the rb40 and rb39 is the diff codes. they will be non lsd diffs one 3.9 ratio and the other 4.0 ratio

I have a 92 RB20E (GTE) Skyline and trans code on firewall states RE4R01A. Will a transmission from a RB20DE (GTS) fit as replacement!

RE4R01A areprettymuch all the same (Nissan and Subaru etc) just aboutany Nissan trans with that code will fit pretty sure thecode is asfollowers RE -electric controlled (RLisnon electric) 4 -4 speeds R -rear wheel drive 01A-spec of the trans (eg03A isfound inthe Safari's)
