am hooking up a amp to my 6x9s havent done this before but i have a 2channel amp or shall i get a 4 channel amp! which be best

800w is there peak rating and doesn't really mean much. Does it have a rated or RMS wattage!

You don't need 4 channels to run 2 speakers.A 2 channel amp is all you need for that job But I wouldn't be amping 6x9's anyway. amping the front speakers should be priority

If you're only amping 2 speakers then a 2 channel is fine.If you want to amp your fronts as well (you should) then get a 4 channel.BTW, 800w is not a small amp, even if it's only PMPO, and I seriously doubt your 6x9s are 800w.

Have just been browsing the web and the most common Boss 800w amp I can find puts out 125w RMS x 2 @4?
