My 3 yo son loves this car and we saw on the news that Peter Jackson has bought it and will have it at the Vintage Air Show in Wairarapa this weekend. If anyone is going and can get some good photos of it, do you mind posting them here! Also, does anyone know if it will be shown any further north! Tried getting flights, but they are out of our budget now. Cheers

Unless of course said movie is played in your household a dozen times a week still (song goes. our fine four fendered friend.) - it is pretty good wet Sunday afternoon watching from time to time,I still like Grandpa singing Posh.
Incidentally the movie car is apparently powered by a Ford V6.

That crit was actually for the ORIGINAL Chitty Bang Bang, a Veteran racing-car,
If I remember correctly, it used the engine from a Transit.

And back in the 60's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang would possibly have been the equivalent of finding a genuine GTHO behind some old guys garage. remember it won the Grand Prix 3 years running after all!
