on the back or the front /on the front maybe some ones been splashing brake fluid on your car /on the back in youve been towing a trailer with a hydralic brake couplingsame thing/ what ever get something to neutralise it .

start with lots of water and soap --it mightnt fix it but its really nlikely to cause worse damage

speaking of things that corrode paint - it's that time of year to make sure the rugrats don't put their sunblock dribbling hands anywhere near !
