Towing trailer with 5.70-8 tyres

We're hoping to get away for a few days and planning to take the tinny along for some "out of town snapper fishing". The trailer has 5.70-8 wheels. I've only ever towed it the kilometer or so to the beach and back- is there anything I should do before towing it the odd 300km I plan to over December! Wheel bearings are good. Cheers

570 8 tyres are specifically made for highway use on a trailer so would be just fine.

Brilliant thanks!

How old are the tyres! If they are in good condition then you should be fine - just make sure the pressures are right and away you go.On a trip that long a spare wheel would be a good idea but I guess you dont have one as most trailers don't.

When you say the wheel bearings are good is that because you have repacked them in recent times !

Just be aware that these tyres wear very quickly.
Don't overload them, don't run them soft and always carry a spare.

Thanks for the advice. Bearings were replaced earlier this year. Cheers
