I have the V8 wagon version (as you know) & find it great & more comfortable than the AU I had previously. If using a tow wagon then flick later it sounds good to me. just beware you may like it enough the on-sell may be further away than you think!

I've got enough cars for now(as you know). I just thought one of you guys might be looking for a cheap, comfy tow wagonfor Xmas. When I look at the price of cheap Toyota's, Nissan's & the like, for diddly squat you can buy a real mans car in this. I had an EB2 a few years ago when I broke my ankle. Had to buy an auto ASAP. I loved driving it & was sorry to have sold it on reflection.

#3 why would it be to old! My 94 ED XR6 was a tickford and I always thought one could opinion in the S engine on the Ghia.
#8 funny you should say that cos I strongly believe my old ED XR6 wagon was way more comfortable than my currant BA XR8.

Not bad cars them. Keep it happy in the coolant department, they can blow headgaskets and tend to eat out the water galleries around the rear cylinder Keep the gearbox happy They can have fun little lifter issues. The motors in 'em are known to be solid units with many examples over 5000km.
It it does happen to do a head gasket, pay the small amount extra for an AU gasket, they're MLS instead of cheese.

Not sure about options, but the Tickford engine was standard equipment only from the EF2 through to AU on the Fairmont Ghia and EB2 through to AU on the XR6.
