Need to tow a car from Auckland to Wanganui - have used a few hire trailers over the years and most don't leave a lot to be desired. Does anyone have advice on which hire company has the best car haulage trailers in Auckland! Big enough for a Holden HQ. Towed by a Hiace van.

I used the guys in Onehunga a few years back. Good to deal with and a sharp price - was at the time anyway. They're on Onehunga mall rd - forget their name.

Respect mate; towing an HQ Auck to Wanganui with a Hiaceyou must have balls of steel! Many years ago I use to occasionally end up having to tow our race car with my old 2.4 diesel Hiace. I'll never forget trying to get up to speed on the motorway onramp with my then 4 year old son in a car seat beside me saying in a deadpan voice "you won't make it dad". The little bastard is now 17 years old, taller than me and still just as cheeky!
