A major car theft problem is operating in Wellington at present and police have set up a special task force to deal with them.
a Mate of mine had a ex Cop white Holden Commodore VP Executive V6 4 speed manual (he owned it for 11 years) that been got too twice in 6 weeks - the first down in Houghton Bay with some low life unsuccessfully hot wired the car but could not get the car to move because of Holden Steering lock - they did it right in front of house where were having a chat - they left their dna encrusted on the screw drivers - Then unfornately he parks the car near the Petone railway station and I am afraid its gone for good .so are VP/ VN Commodores the car to steal at present! What are other popular makes!

So keep your cars in sight and locked guys.

If they couldn't even get a 22yo Dunnydore started and even donated their tools of the trade that they don't know how to use for the owner to find you're not exactly dealing with high IQ high calibre crims are you.they'll be caught.

you'd be lucky to start a Holden even if you had keys an all

So the car must have had the immobiliser switched off in the left A pillar! Does he lock/umlock it with a key or use the factory remote to lock/unlock! If switched on would have been hard to start as they would have had to get into the A pillar & join wires etc to over ride the system.
